Jamie Dinsmore is the Energy & Resources Industry Lead at Microsoft Canada. He is responsible for leading a diverse, cross-functional team that is committed to helping the energy sector drive business transformation and greater social responsibility using trusted technology. Jamie and his team are focused on helping Canadian companies transform their workforce, accelerate the energy transition, and reduce carbon emissions while effectively meeting the world’s growing energy demand with renewable sources.

Jamie has over 25 years of extensive experience in sales leadership, management, and professional services. He has a proven ability to develop and lead high performance teams in a complex matrixed organization, as well as a strong history of working with partners to drive industry alignment and achieve outstanding business results. Well-known for building and developing strong talent, Jamie is passionate about fostering innovation and empowering the next generation of leaders. Prior to joining Microsoft, Jamie was the President and CEO at Siemens Industry Software ULC.

In his spare time, Jamie is actively involved with Smilezone and the Lighthouse for Grieving Children and previously served as Vice Chair for the Peel Children’s Aid Foundation. Jamie currently lives in Oakville with his wife of over 23 years and two teenage children. Jamie holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Rotman School of Management (University of Toronto).
